September Update

So things have been moving along- plans are in the works for a series of screen printed trading cards, tenetively titled "Betrayed! By Science!" that will begin shortly. November 17th will be the opening date for a show of mostly larger works at the Art Hosptial in Bloomington. The Aquarium has it's first show up, Ben's "Sea Life" paintings, and has begun scheduling shows (Mark Rice from Bloomington in October, Markus Gutman from Berlin in November, Micah Bornstein from Chicago in January.)

And last weekend we participated in Durham's Culture Crawl, along with the Durham Art Council's Centerfest. Both were fairly successful, we sold 12 small paintings along with 3 of the paintings in the Aquarium, while getting to show the studio and work to a number of people we know and some new folks too. Our pricing policy seemed amusing to some people but overall went over well, see below. We may need to adjust for rent in future open studios but for now it seems to work, about the price of a cd or paperback book sounds right.

Images to be posted soon.

All work is for sale- small drawings mounted on wood are $15.00, please ask if you’re interested in the larger work or would like to see others.

Prices are tabulated by taking the average cost of materials and factoring in the average time it took to make each piece, then multiplying that my minimum wage. Thus for the smaller pieces:
